GFS P-bass Pickguard Reviews 5

This is a review for the 3 ply Black White Black pickguard put out by GFS aka Guitar Fetish. It fit right on to my 80 MIJ Fender Precision bass. No sanding, routing, cutting or drilling new screw holes. This pickguard lined up perfectly and was a breeze to install!

Well the design of the Precision bass pickguard is not genius. Am I picking on Leo Fender? No, but you could say my drummer was when he stepped on my cable resulting in the snapping of my original pickguard. Seth at the time was in such rock mode jamming along, I could not even be mad at him. Good rhythm sections need to stick together! Long story short: Guitar Fetish's website had the best price on a no nonsense replacement pickguard. $14 and it was mine.

It was a direct replacement for my Fender. So many other replacement pickguards you get involve filing or sanding and who knows if any of the screw holes will line up? It fits and looks just like an original should!

None whatsoever. The install of this was a breeze.

I think I've said it 3 times already, a perfect fit. The quality was great. No bumps or bruises. I could have handled a few on a $14 pickguard. I can't believe some other people ask $60+ for a thin piece of plastic.

GFS makes great hardware at an affordable price. I wouldn't think twice before suggesting them to another musician.
